Some of my friends here at Deviant Art know this, but many here at DA do not, so I will share a little about my private life.
I have served in the United States Navy during the Desert Storm - Gulf War era(1988-1992) aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), I am also disabled with Reflex Sympathetic Nerve Distrophy since 2005.
Since 2005, I have been receiving treatment at the local VA here in Amarillo.
In which time I have been collecting War photos through private contributors & friends as well as online resources. Many have come from men and women I have met here at the local VA.
In total I have compiled just over 700 MBs worth of WWI - WWII - Persian Gulf War photographs. Many of which are in color, and all are still in VERY GOOD to near mint condition.
I have come across another resource & and as soon as I can get authorization to use those photos, I will be adding them to the list of free resources/downloads below,

Pack 1 : WW 2 + Gulf War - Pt1 of 6 - [link]

Pack 2 : WW 2 + Gulf War - Pt2 of 6 - [link]=PQJIZDYW

Pack 3 : WW2 + Gulf War - Pt3 of 6 - [link]

Pack 4 : WW 2 + Gulf War - Pt4 of 6 - [link]

Pack 5 : WW 2 + Gulf War - Pt5 of 6 - [link]

Pack 6 : WW 2 + Gulf War - Pt 6 - [link]

I hope you find these photos as interesting as I do. Feel free to post these downloads on other forums if you wish. History should always be free and easily accessed IMO.

Well, take care and be sure to contact me if you have any questions or problems downloading!
Take care!

Hello! Hallo! ¡Hola! Ciao!

Its been 2 months and I have to say, it feels like a year has gone by. Time creeps by for me here lately. Dont get me wrong, I dont mind at all, the only thing that bothers me, is the fact that I cant get away from home, kids, wife ..or even my own mind.

We have all been Ill this past week or so, strep throat from my kids and wife so, we have all been in bed with the medicines and humidifiers going.
We are finally getting better and just yesterday we had a blizzard role in on us and its been snowing slowly all day as well. We will no doubt get another inch or so tonight, so hopefully all the bugs will be blasted into oblivion and hopefully we will not get sick anymore till Christmas hopefully! haha!

Im finally feeling better and well enough to get back onto the comp and photoshop and get some work in, maybe some wallpapers and LPs this weekend into this coming week., since I have so much material piled up to use.

We shall see, take care everyone, and thanks to everyone for the prayers and best wishes as it has helped us alot. My daughters are much better as is my wife and son.

Best wishes everyone, we love you all!
Have a great weekend!
  :flagus: :cd:

Well,
I am still on the Morphine patch (fentanyl trans system patch) but I'm adjusting better lately.
I lost my best bud this past weekend (sun 18th - [link] - The Fam Cat)
He was a good pet and very old, around 72 years old in human years. He died of sudden Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy & we had no time to save him, probably due to his age. Its one of the reasons for my lack of activity/submissions lately but, I have some projects in the works which should be uploaded to da this weekend at the latest..

On a brighter note,
Im gonna have an operation in a couple of weeks, doctors are gonna implant a device near my spine, a device called a Precision Plus instrument: [link]
Its actually a pretty cool device, even has a control pad much like a game console control pad, that you use to activate and adjust the levels and other operating implements used in adjusting the device to my body's pain and so on.

Its gonna be inserted underneath my skin on my back and placed near and actually attached to the spine..more detailed info here:
[link]

8 out of 10 patients see at least an 80% percent drop in pain, so I am looking forward to this, obviously.

Its what I have been praying for, for the past 2-3 years, and I have very high hopes that this will finally get my pain under control. Wish me luck, eh :)
I also got a new wheelchair, much like the racing wheelchairs, sooooo much more comfortable and maneuverable than the old beast I had.
Heres a good example of mine (clicky image for the site):

I'll get the wife to take a photo of it and me soon and post a photo as soon as I can so keep an eye out ;)
I will be active as possible, so keep an eye out so you don't miss me :P
Be safe and keep in touch everyone

:(

Well, I am not really looking forward to the upcoming holidays(USA-Thanksgiving & Christmas w/ my b-day in between) as I am still ill and we as a family are still struggling financially and emotionally. Neither of which are anyone's fault, its just the way life can be. We, as a fam, have just caught the brunt of life's downside. One day we will see the sunshine again and actually feel good about it without worry or despair.
Thanks to KaiRoshi, I have at least something to do for the next couple of weeks, not only do I get to get back into free hand drawing, i will also be able to get my mind off of things for a little while, and maybe even actually win a little extra holiday cash in the process :D
Best of wishes to everyone here at dA and as always to my friends. Be safe and sound this holiday season.

New week

Well, its a new week and to start it off, my old favorite QB, good Ole Brett Favre proved to his ex-team, the Packers, that he still has the "stuff" with an impressive 20 - 14 win in the first week against the Dolphins. Good stuff! :-)
Its gonna be so funny to see those packers lose this season, oh wells, what happens when the GM chooses his starters on a friendship basis lol
Suckas!
:fork:

Anyways, as I said, new week and I also have a new avatar from a talented guy on planet renders, Otisbum. Him and sayJuice made some great avatars for me. If you guys are reading this, I really appreciate it! :-)

As for my art, I hope to get some new submissions this week, and also get dome freehand work completed as well. I've been slacking off on it and it shows lol
Anyways, have a great week people!
